Winter Satellite Workshop brings together multiple space-focused events under one umbrella, creating a unique forum for collaboration and exchange. The workshop unites space technology experts, scientists, and students to explore emerging topics in the rapidly evolving space sector. Its scope covers New Space developments, small satellite missions and platforms, space science and instrumentation, Earth observation, and the sustainable use of space.
The Workshop is a community event, founded 2018 and technically organized by Aalto University Space Technology research group (Aalto Satellites), students and volunters and science organisations. The event is created together with officials, funding agencies, projects, institutes, companies and Aalto University student organizations. Our conference program committee consists of seasoned space professionals and our staff is mostly students and young professionals.
Our goal is to strengthen collaboration in the European space sector across generations and disciplines, bringing together students, academics, industry, innovators, policymakers, and funding agencies.
