A New Book on Space Business Provides Insights from Many Angles

The leader of AuroraSpace’s WP2: Commercial Space Ecosystem Support, Professor Arto Ojala, Professor of International Business at the University of Vaasa, Finland, has published a book on space business together with his colleague Professor William W. Baber from Kyoto University, Japan. Space Business: Emerging Theory and Practice fills an important gap by offering the latest research and insights into the New Space sector, where private companies act as key players in the space economy, alongside traditional spacefaring nations.

The book features contributions from experts in business and space, including AuroraSpace project members – Heidi Kuusniemi, Mikko Punnala and Jari Ratilainen.

– It is great that such a book on the growth and future of the space economy has been written and published, as there has not been one before, says Heidi Kuusniemi.

Meant for academics, students, entrepreneurs, and companies, it is aiming to inspire further research in the space industry and growing interest on the topic.

– Space business is an ecosystem with many players. This ecosystem can be examined and studied from many angles, emphasizes Ojala.
