Space Apps for Earth Impact: Building Arctic Solutions from Orbit

This interdisciplinary invites participants from diverse backgrounds—such as engineering, physics, business, law, environment, analytics, law, and IT—to design innovative tools that contribute to a more sustainable space ecosystem—and a more resilient Arctic society.

The mission

Design and prototype an innovative software application or digital tool that:

  • Uses data from satellites (e.g. images, weather, positioning, communications)
  • Has a clear, practical impact on Arctic society or industry
  • Includes a basic business plan or idea for how the product could be used or sold
  • Shows how Andøya Space could benefit from or help deliver your solution

Teams will compete for a cash prize and a chance to land a summer internship at KSAT, a global leader in satellite services and space sustainability. Travel and accommodation costs up to 5000 NOK / 4730 SEK / 433 EUR will be covered for student participants.
