At the jammer test event, participants will be subjected to both simple and sophisticated spoofing and jamming attacks allowing actors from both public and private sector to test their PNT systems and products for potential weaknesses against both unintentional and intentional attacks.
The location for the event, far above the arctic circle, has been chosen to minimize impact on society and other neighboring countries. The island of Andøya is a perfect location, not just for it’s breathtaking nature, but it also has unique geological features consisting of a wall of tall mountains, allowing for transmission of disruptive signals at relatively high power, without major disruptions to civil society.
Jammertest is organized in cooperation between The Norwegian public roads administration, Norwegian communications authority, Norwegian Defence research establishment, Norwegian Metrology Service and Norwegian Space agency
